The Vision

The Sacred History of Tarot

The Tarot's origins are shrouded in mystery, with roots tracing back to 15th-century Italy where it emerged as a card game called "tarocchi." By the 18th century, the cards began to be used for divination, and the Rider-Waite-Smith deck - the foundation of our readings - was created in 1909 by Arthur Edward Waite and Pamela Colman Smith.
